Daggers of the early period production. First Type Daggers.
Manufactured by C. Eickhorn, WKC, Henkells. All daggers of this type feature the blade of the old type with a distinct ricasso. The crossguard has a square center block and shorter quillons compared to the second type of daggers. Swastikas on the pommel and guard are found in two versions: cut according to a template and inlaid. The grip is wooden, oval, thickened in the center, the spiral is made with a wound rope. The whole grip was covered with blue leather. The grip of this type features 11 turns. The scabbard is made of cardboard covered with skin. The fittings are retained with countersunk head screws. Such fastening of bands was innovative since other models of dress weapon with a leather scabbard featured fittings retained with staples. The finial features a design known among collectors as a "rattlesnake tail". This design was applied to all types of this model. A chain hanger with a clip consists of two chains of 9 and 11 rings attached via S-shaped connectors to the fittings. The overall length of the dagger is slightly less than the length of the second type and is about 53cm.
