Known fakes.
Unfortunately, the market of fakes is developing and it is often very difficult to identify fakes. Wrong pieces can be timely spotted only due to exchange of information between collectors and constant examination of pieces. To establish authenticity of a piece, a number of aspects should be considered as a whole: its condition, known analogues, available defects, and so on. In our opinion, currently, there is only one type of really good fakes on the market – daggers produced by Henkells. This fake was identified only when compared with an old photo of a dagger from the collection of the late Barry Brown.
